Welcome!
Bienvenidos!
La Casa Playroom is more than just a place to play—it’s a nurturing, multi-cultural haven where children thrive and caregivers find room to breathe. Rooted in the belief that play is a powerful language of learning, we’ve created a space where young minds grow through hands-on, imaginative experiences that reflect the richness of diverse cultures.
Creating Unforgettable Memories for Families
Whether you’re joining a workshop, relaxing in a cozy corner, or sharing a conversation with someone who just gets it, *La Casa* is your home away from home.
At *La Casa*, we celebrate the beauty of bilingualism and cross-cultural connection. Our playroom is intentionally designed to introduce children to both English and Spanish through play-based exploration, storytelling, music, and movement. Every toy, activity, and interaction is carefully curated to support developmental milestones while honoring cultural heritage.
But we’re not just here for the little ones—we’re here for you, too. We know that parenting can be all-consuming, and it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs. That’s why *La Casa* also serves as a restorative space for caregivers: a supportive community where you can reconnect, recharge, and feel seen.
Whether you’re joining a workshop, relaxing in a cozy corner, or sharing a conversation with someone who just *gets it*, *La Casa* is your home away from home.
Welcome. Bienvenidos. This is your space to grow—together.

Meet Our Family

La Casa Playroom was born from our family’s journey—shaped by love, language, and a deep desire to build something meaningful in the community we call home.
*La Casa Playroom* was born from our family’s journey—shaped by love, language, and a deep desire to build something meaningful in the community we call home.
As a multicultural family—with a Black father and a Mexican-American mother—we’re raising our children to be curious, grounded, and proud of who they are. Language is central in our home: Sebastián speaks Spanish and English and is learning Cantonese, while baby Santiago already uses sign language and says words like “dada,” “mama,” and “leche.”
We parent with intention, and we dreamed of a space that reflects that—a place where culture and play go hand in hand.

When Sebastián was born, we quickly realized Brighton Park lacked accessible, enriching spaces for families. We were constantly commuting across the city to find what our neighborhood deserved. That need sparked *La Casa*—a warm, welcoming space rooted in culture, affordability, and community care.
Like many parents, we’ve juggled the chaos of raising children while trying to stay connected to ourselves, our roots, and each other. *La Casa* is the space we longed for—now it’s here, and we’re so excited to share it with you.
Every corner of La Casa Playroom reflects our values: connection, culture, community, and conscious parenting. We’re honored to invite your family into our second home and can’t wait to grow together.
Con mucho amor,
Familia Maciel- Wright
